'Sometimes, Ghosts don't haunt places, they haunt the cracks of our broken minds'
- 'The Talking Dead' by Chandrima Das.
Do you love reading Spooky stories? Especially in Halloween?!
I do!!! I make sure to read atleast one spooky read in October, and this year I read 'The Talking Dead' by Chandrima Das.
Book Review🍂
'The Talking Dead' by Chandrima Das is a collection of four spooky short stories. The Four short stories are 'Deja Vu' , 'Middle Finger' , 'Playtime' and 'A Room for Two'. I really enjoyed reading all the short stories, they were super creepy and intriguing.
The plots of the stories aren't connected, every story is unique with haunting plots!
Well, I love Ruskin Bond's spooky stories, Chandrima Das' 'The Talking Dead' gave me Bond's spooky story vibes. The characters are well constructed in the uncanny plots. The language is simple and lucid, convincing for all readers.
I read this book in one sitting, not because of the easy peasy language, the storylines of the short stories are eerie and hair raising.
Few readers don't read this genre because of the disturbing sequences in the plot, but 'The Talking Dead' is not a disturbing read, it is spine tingling. If you are looking for a short spooky read, then I would certainly recommend 'The Talking Dead' by Chandrima Das.
