Hey all!
Hope u all had an amazing sunday🌻
Let us talk about a collection of poems that I read recently!
'Wondering, if the past is all just an illusion? The best part is how you made it look so easy...'
'An Unquenchable Excess of Love' by @anjutha_ranganathan
Poetry is an intricate form of art! It can be described and interpreted from different perspectives! Poems heal our soul, leave us with so many questions also deciphers our queries with metaphorical answers.
'An Unquenchable Excess of Love' is a beautiful collection of poems on love, passionate desires and life. The verses are so simple and elegant. The author has divided the poems into three parts, The Falling, The breaking and The healing. There are few poems with two lines but engraved with a profound meaning. Also, some poems looked more like quotes and lacked the quintessential touch.
The first part is idyllic in the thoughts. I really loved the poem titled 'Evidence for Life'! The imagination in this piece is picturesque and strikingly metaphorical. I was expecting every poem to reflect the same essence in its composition, however few poems are blunt and abrupt.
The second part 'The Breaking' is transparent and traumatic. 'Feeling it Deep Down the Bones' reflects the agony of heartbreak.
The third part 'The Healing' is not a compilation of philosophical thoughts, the poems are simple yet powerful in this section. Almost all the poems in this part fascinated me.
In a nutshell, though 'An Unquenchable Excess of Love' has some blunt and plain verses, some poems would certainly surprise you with its beautiful composition of thoughts.
