Me Ki Gai.

'When you create awareness, you are going to also face critics who are preoccupied with finding the negative side to everything'

- Me Ki Gai by Atul Khekade

'Me Ki Gai' is a beautiful fiction that explains the Japanese concept Ikigai. The life of Parth becomes stressful when he loses his job and gets heartbroken, he was distressed and tries to commit suicide, but a spiritual guide is changing his life by elaborating the concept 'Ikigai'!

The plot of this book revolves around Parth and his dull career, the first part covers his pessimistic thoughts and how it is suffocating him, whereas the second part is about self discovery and self realisation. I enjoyed the positivity overflowing throughout the stortyline, the depiction of the protagonist is very realistic.

The author has introduced fantasy elements in the storyline to talk about the purpose of one's existence, the way he has weaved the storyline into an enlightening concept is very delightful. I have already read the non fiction work ikigai, but this fiction is more beautiful and enlightening.

The concepts are not monotonous and dramatic, it helps to view the brighter side of your life. The social pressure, people feel in their early twenties was explained in a sensible way. I wouldn't say that this book would change your life, because you should allow yourself to change your mindset, if you read this book in an optimistic mindset, then it would be refreshing and thought provoking!

The language is very simple and lucid for every reader, if you are looking for a self help, motivational fiction, then I would recommend this book🌻
