AMRITSAR EXPRESS BY AMRTHANSHU BARDE.

'Amritsar Express' by Amrthanshu Barde is one of the modern day Indian romantic fictions with the realistic storyline and characterisation I've read recently.

I love reading realistic characterisation in the Indian romantic fictions, the story of 'Amritsar Express' is true to life, it doesn't have a pompous plot with an unimaginable ending.

The story revolves around the life of a young man Angad Sharma who decides to work before getting hassled in the college life. He's one of the sensitive and diffident characters I've encountered so far, at times annoying, nevertheless I found his disposition adorable. Angad meets an organized, decent young lady Manpreet, he befriends her despite of being a mousy young man. Will Angad express his feelings to Manpreet?

The story resembles the life of every young man, the ending is warm and beautiful, it didn't end like an unrealistic cheesy romantic novels and that makes this book adorable. I loved how the author has managed to convey the feelings of a young man without the obscene chapters. The character sketch of Manpreet is similar to the female characters you encounter in most of the Indian romantic fictions, organized, extremely beautiful, outspoken but reticent in expressing emotions.

The language is lucid and convenient for the beginners. If you are looking for a simple, warm Indian romantic fiction with the realistic character sketch and storyline, you can pick this book up. Also if you're a beginner, looking for a simple Indian romantic fiction, you can go for it.
