PREDATOR- A PREY'S VOICE

In the deep hollow of the oak tree,
Bird cried to let it free,
Snake emerged from the sharp branches,
Little bird's face flushed in patches.
Venomous snake entered the hollow with hunger,
Pathetic bird frightened in danger.
Snake fiercely got hold,
The bird wasn't very bold.
It swallowed its flesh in the churning stench,
Sacrifice of the little bird satisfied the predator's quench.
